ICAI National Students Convention-2012 was held on 30th June and 1st July 2012 in Bhayandar, organized by Board of Studies, hosted by Vasai Branch of WIRC of ICAI and jointly with Vasai Branch of WICASA.

CA Jaydeep Shah-Honorable President of ICAI , CA Subodh Kumar Agrawal Honorable Vice-President of ICAI & CA Nilesh Vikamsey , Chairman -BOS for giving us an opportunity to Host this convention by adding History creating event in the history of Vasai Branch of WIRC.

The Convention was inaugurated by Padmashree Awarded CA T N Manoharan Hon’ble Past President ICAI and CA Nilesh Vikamsey Chairman- Board of Studies - ICAI, with the presence of Vasai Branch team headed by CA Shweta Jain Chairperson of Vasai Branch, CA Ramanand Gupta Vice-Chairman, CA KishorVaishnav Secretary, CA UnmeshNarvekar Past Chairman, CA Lalit Bajaj Past Chairman, CA PramodDhamankar Past Chairman, CA Haresh Mehta Committee Member and CA Shruti Shah Chairperson-WICASA.

It’s an honored to have Past President of ICAI like, CA T .N Manoharan, who has been Padmashree Awarded, CA N P Sarda, CA Uttam Agarwal, and CA Amarjeet Chopra, and CA. B.R. Jaju Director & CFO- Welspun Corporation Ltd and Many More.

National Convention was guided by galaxy of dignitaries of ICAI like CA Nilesh Vikamsey Chairman- BOS-ICAI, CA Madhukar Hiregange Vice-Chairman of BOS-ICAI and Shri Vijay Kapur Director of BOS-ICAI and even guided to students how to prepare for CA examinations.It is pleasure to have CA Durgesh Kabra, Chairman-WIRC, CA Jay Chhaira, Vice Chairman-WIRC,CA Dinesh B. Gandhi, Treasurer-WIRC,CA Shruti Shah, Chairperson-WICASA,CA Sunil Patodia, RCM.

It was followed by Technical Session on subjects like Transfer Pricing- Domestic as well as International Transaction, Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, Accounting Standard Compliance in present scenario, Auditor's Rotation; Raising Auditor's Independence, Revised Schedule VI-An Overview, Merger, Acquisitions & Restructuring, Professional Ethics- A Professional Requisite, FDI and Indian Economy, GST- A Road Ahead and Impact of Introduction of Point of Taxation Rules,2011

There was special session on “Interaction with Chairman Board of Studies” by CA Nilesh Vikamsey Chairman- Board of Studies-ICAI , “CA- Partner in Nation Building” by CA Uttam Prakash Agarwal Past President-ICAI and “The Winning Way” by a celebrity Mr. Raghuram– MTV- Producer.

Followed by Validictory Session head by Shri Vijay Kapur Director of Board of Studies-ICAI Vasai Branch of ICAI is team of around 1200 Members along with 9500 students. The Convention was attended by around 450 Students from all over India. This National Convention Programme is a well-built platform for the future growth of CA Students. It's a stage for CA Aspirants to build & sharpen its skills by participating in the activities.

The Vasai branch of ICAI, is also conducting General Management & Communications Skills [GMCS], Orientation Programmed, Information Technology Training and many other activities for Developments of CA Students.

Vasai Branch of WIRC of ICAI is looking forward to organize many more National events.
