| Mr. Ved Jain, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, visited Cairo (Egypt) to attend the meeting on March 17 and 18, 2008 of the IFAC's Developing Nations Committee, of which he is a member. The President interacted with His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Egypt, Mr.A.Gopinathan, at his residence in Cairo in the evening of March 16, 2008, in the presence of certain leading resident members of our Institute. |

| While appraising the Ambassador of the stance taken by ICAI of projecting itself globally, the continuing efforts for recognition of its qualification with certain countries and the institutional cooperation with others (like Oman, Djibouti, Mongolia, Nepal), the President advised the attendees of various Capacity Building measures initiated by ICAI to make the brand 'Chartered Accountant' of India a globally sought-after preposition. |
