Agreement between ICAI and ACL: The Committee on Information Technology of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has entered into an agreement with ACL for providing some proprietary software’s and related technical support to the ICAI member firms at discounted price. 

(2)          Details of the Professional Training for the Post Qualification Course on Information systems Audit

 (3)          ISA Eligibility Test

·         The Committee had conducted ISA Eligibility Test on May 11th, 2013  at 52   Centers including Sri Lanka and Nepal 

·         The Committee had conducted the ISA Eligibility Test on October 19, 2013 successfully at 39 Centers including Nepal

 (4)          Professional Matters/Opportunities

·         The IT Committee has started Training Programme on SAP Crystal Reports – A Business Intelligence Tool. This course on SAP Crystal Reports 2011 explains how to design, explore, visualize, and deliver reports via the web or embedded in enterprise applications.

·         The Committee had organized programme on SAP Crystal Report at Mumbai from 19th October, 2013 to 27th October, 2013.

 

(5)          Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection 

·         Committee Organized Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection at Pune from 21st  June, 2013 to 27th June, 2013

·         Committee organized Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection course at Centre of Excellence, Hyderabad from 16th October to 21st October, 2013

·         Committee organized Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection course at ICAI Bhawan Pune from 20th to 25th January 2014

·         Committee organized Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection course at Indian Habitat Center Lodhi Road from 09th to 14th March 2014 

(6)          Residential Conclave  

The Committee has organized, Residential Conclave on Cyber Security on December 14 - 15, 2013 at Lavasa. In a step towards providing better education to its members, the Committee on Information Technology - ICAI , with the knowledge support of ISACA Mumbai Chapter, organized this Residential Conclave on Cyber Security by bringing together industry experts and eminent faculties to deliver their views and thoughts on how cyber security is changing the way we do the business. 

(7)          Seminars/Workshops/Conferences/ Other Programmes

·         Workshop on Advance MS Excel at Bhubaneswar Branch of EIRC of ICAI on 27th April, 2013.

·         ISA Faculty meet on 18th & 19th May, 2013 at Mumbai

·         The Committee has organized two days workshop on Excel with Macros and VBA Training Workshop on 30th November and 1st December, 2013 at ITT Centre, RVG Hostel Andheri West Mumbai.

·         2 days workshop on ADVANCE EXCEL 2010 was conducted on June 22 &23, 2013 at Mumbai.

·         General Information Technology Security awareness workshop was held at Ernakulam on 29th May, 2013.

·         Workshop on CAATs was held at Bhubaneswar on 6th July, 2013.

·         The Committee has organized series of Conference on Cloud Computing - Opportunity and Challenges for CAs at Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi on 08th November 2013, 11th January 2014 and 01st February 2014 with Sify Technologies as the knowledge partner.

·         The Committee has organized WORKSHOP on IT SECURITY IN CA’s OFFICE ICAI ITT CENTRE, RVG HOSTEL,ANDHERI-WEST, Mumbai on 23rd March 2014

·         The Committee has organized WORKSHOP ON ADVANCED EXCEL 2010 at EVOLVE BUSINESS SCHOOL, SECTOR 19B, VASHI, Maharashtra on 08th March 2014 

(8)          Webcast 

The Committee had conducted the following webcasts

·         Internal Control over financial reporting: An IS Control perspective on 4th October, 2013.  

·         Opportunities for Chartered Accountants in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection on 15th November, 2013.

The Committee has launched new E- Learning Course on Customs Duty and updated the Existing Course on Service Tax
