1. Residential Course on Taxation, Ramnagar

The Committee along with the Indirect Taxes Committee organized a “Residential Course on Taxation” in Jim Corbett National Park, Ramnagar from 5th to 7th June, 2008. The course was attended and also appreciated by eminent persons, both members and non-members from the Industry. The topics covered were related to practical issues in direct and indirect taxes in the sectors like retail, banking and financial services, IPL matches, media and entertainment etc. The course was a grand success.

2. Diamond Jubliee Conference, Hyderabad
|
A Diamond Jubliee Conference was organised by the Committee on 18th -19th July,2008 in Hyderabad. The same was hosted by the Hyderabad branch of SIRC of ICAI. The programme was also a success.

3. Certification Course on International Taxation
- The Committee organized a Certificate course on International Taxation along with Ahemdabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI in Ahemdabad which commenced on 7th June 2008 and ended in December 2008. The course structure has been appreciated by members all over the country.
- The Committee organized another Certificate course in International Taxation along with Northern India Regional Council of ICAI in Delhi which commenced on 13th September 2008 and ended on 31st January 2009. The office has received requests to organise similar courses from members in other regions also. The Committee proposes to organize such courses in the next quarter in other regions also.

4. All India Conference, Visakhapatnam
|
An All India Conference was organized in Visakhapatnam on 23rd and 24th October, 2008. The same was hosted by Visakhapatnam branch of SIRC of ICAI. . The Conference was also a grand success.

5. National Diamond Jubilee Conference on Fiscal Laws
|
A “National Diamond Jubliee Conference on Fiscal Laws” was organized in Pune on 15th and 16th November, 2008. The same was hosted by Pimpri Chinchwad branch of WIRC.

6. National Seminar on Taxation
|
A “National Seminar on Taxation” was organized in Kanpur on 7th December, 2008. The same was hosted by CIRC.

7. All India Conference on WTO and Taxation
|
The Committee along with the Committee on Trade Laws and WTO organized an “All India Conference on WTO and Taxation” which was hosted by Varanasi Branch of CIRC of the ICAI from 3rd January, 2009 to 4th January, 2009 at Varanasi.

8. Diamond Jubilee All India tax and WTO Convention
|
The Committee along with the Committee on Trade Laws and WTO and Indirect Taxes Committee organized an “Diamond Jubilee All India tax and WTO Convention ” which was hosted by Goa Branch of WIRC of the ICAI from 30th January, 2009 to 31st January, 2009 at Goa.
