The dates of polling for polling booth Nos.S061 to S068 at Hyderabad are 14th and 15th December, 2018. Candidates and their supporters for election to Twenty Fourth Council from Southern India Regional Constituency and Twenty Third Southern India Regional Council may kindly note that Election Code of Conduct continues to be in force on the days of polling and the same will come to an end only upon declaration of results of elections.
As in the case of Election Code, noncompliance with the provisions of Rule 42 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 shall also attract disciplinary action against members of the Institute in terms of the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct Cases) Rules, 2007.
Rule 42 of above Rules provides that a manifesto or circular issued by a candidate shall neither contain any appeal to voters on the basis of caste or on communal, religious, regional or sectional lines nor any tall claim. It is therefore advised that no circular or appeal should be made to voters by any candidate or their representative on the basis of caste or on communal, religious, regional or sectional lines which would attract disciplinary action.
I earnestly seek your help, support and cooperation for the conduct and completion of the election in a manner befitting the profession of Chartered Accountants.
