RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION UNDER THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005 FROM THE INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA.
Any citizen of India can obtain the required information by making a request under his / her signature addressed to the Central Public Information Officer / Central Assistant Public Information Officer of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on a plain paper enclosing therewith requisite fee. Details of Public Authorities under Right to Information Act, 2005 are hosted on the website of the Institute and the link for the same is http://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=4741.
Note : The applicant is existentially required to mention details as applicable, complete name and address, Membership number , Firm registration number, Student registration number, Examination Roll number, Attempt details, year and name of the paper, Mail Id already in record of ICAI etc in their RTI Applications.
Applicant can file Online RTI application w.e.f. 01st November, 2016 and pay online fee for seeking information under Right to Information Act, 2005. The link for the same is https://rtionline.gov.in. Further the names and addresses of CPIO’s and details of fee are given below:-

APPLICATION FEE
In accordance with the directive given in the Gazette notification of Deptt. of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Govt. of India, vide no. 34012/8(s)/2005-Estt.(B) dated 16.09.2005, the application for obtaining Information under sub-section (1) of section 6 must be accompanied by prescribed application fee of Rs. 10/- by way of demand draft / Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India payable at New Delhi.
ADDITIONAL FEE, IF ANY
The applicant shall be informed of the additional fees required to be deposited by him/her for the information sought and information shall be furnished after the deposit of the fee by the applicant.
For providing the information under the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 an additional fee shall be charged as per details given below :-

Enquiry Timings :
Enquiry will be entertained from 2pm to 5pm on all working days and the status of RTI application can be confirmed after 30 days of receipt of RTI application by ICAI |
