Sub: Suggestions for Pre-Budget Memorandum – 2009
 
We wish to inform you that the Pre-Budget Memorandum – 2009 is to be submitted to the Government preferably by November 15, 2008. As usual, we request you to kindly give your valuable suggestions to be included in the Pre-Budget Memorandum – 2009. We further request you to kindly give such suggestions under the following heads:
  • Suggestions for widening the tax base and increasing the tax revenue
  • Suggestions to check tax avoidance
  • Suggestions for rationalization of the provisions of Direct Tax Laws
We shall be highly obliged if you can kindly forward your valuable suggestions to dtc@icai.org or mukta@icai.org or at the following address preferably by 20th October, 2008:
