Greetings from CMEPS, ICAI

The Committee for Members in Entrepreneurship and Public Service (CMEPS) is one of the most important non standing Committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) which has been constituted with the objective to propagate Public Service and Entrepreneurship as a vocation for Membersincluding capacity building of such members.

The CMEPS committee recognizes the vital role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and innovation. The term ‘Entrepreneurship’ can be construed as entrepreneurial activities of an individual or a group of individuals which transforms innovative ideas into the businesses with positive impact on the market by which nation can be benefitted.

Despite a wealth of innovative ideas, many budding entrepreneurs face significant barriers in accessing the necessary support to transform their concepts into successful ventures.

We are pleased to share that the CMEPS Committee has taken a unique initiative to organize “ICAI’s InnoFest 2024” for CA Budding Entrepreneurs for “Bridging the Gap: Transforming Innovations into Business Triumphs” whichwill enrich the discussions for exploring entrepreneurship opportunities, inspiration and guidance.The program will be structured to provide valuable insights, guidance, assists in providing support/mentorship from financial institutions and networking opportunities for CA professionals interested in venturing into Entrepreneurship.

This event aims to bridge the gap between promising entrepreneurial ideas and potential financiers.

Key objectives of the Initiative

• Opportunities for CA entrepreneurs to meet potential investors, lenders and financial advisors.
• Platform for CA budding entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas.
• Evaluation of innovative ideas by experts.
• Connect budding entrepreneurs with financial institutions.
• Educational sessions on the latest financial trends, regulation and best practices.
• Goal-setting sessions to align business objectives with financial strategies.
• Offer mentorship and support for scaling businesses and entering new markets.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and economic development.

The forthcoming event is proposed to be held during the month of July/August2024 at New Delhi.
