Greetings from Continuing Professional Education Committee (CPEC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
We are happy to inform you that to promote organisation of the CPE Learning Activities as well as for betterment of members at large, on recommendations of the CPE Committee, the Council has approved the organisation of Web-Lectures for the grant of Unstructured CPE hours by Regional Councils/Branches and Foreign Chapters of ICAI as per the below modalities.
The Web-Lecture module has been allowed from January 2024 onwards. In this regard, for removing the difficulties while organising Web-Lectures, CPE Secretariat had prepared some important points, which are as mentioned below and Modalities & Steps to upload are mentioned in attachment:
Important Check Points:
- Web Lecture will be organized only for grant of Unstructured CPE hours in Virtual mode.
- Only two programmes in a Calendar Month are allowed and if Web Lecture is jointly organised as per attached modalities, it will be counted in the limit of all joint units.
- The duration of the Programme shall be of minimum 2 and maximum 3 hours only.
- Regional Councils and Branches will necessarily conduct Web lectures for grant of Unstructured CPE hours through DLH only.
- Attendance would be uploaded by Regional Council/Branches/Foreign Chapters for grant of unstructured CPE hours. Member will not claim unstructured CPE learning by their own for attending these Web Lectures and this would be specifically mentioned in Programme communication/Brochure.
- No carry forward of balance to next month. It means if the Web Lecture is not organized in current month, then it cannot be carry forwarded to the next month.
You are requested to kindly organise the virtual programmes only in the above-mentioned category as per below modalities.
