The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi, India has set the record for ‘Maximum Number of Students Participation in Super Mega Career Counselling Programme’. The First Drive of the Super Mega Career Counselling Programme was organized on October 31, 2022 and the Second Drive was organized on November 26, 2022. A total of 1,60,648 students of classes IX till Graduation participated in the programme along with the Principals, Teachers and Career Counsellors. The programme were conducted by 5 Regional Councils and 124 Branches of the ICAI.

The objective of this drive was to reach the nook and corner of the country and provide career guidance and increase awareness about the Institute and Chartered Accountancy Course. ICAI is the First Organization in the entire Asia to set a record for counselling maximum number of students in one go. The record has registered in Asia Book of Records and the jury of Asia Book of Records felicitated The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi on 18th January,2023 for this attempt. CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra (President, ICAI), CA. Aniket Talati (Vice President, ICAI), CA. Hans Raj Chugh (Chairman), Committee on Career Counselling, CA. Purushottamlal Khandelwal (Vice Chairman) Committee on Career Counselling along with other Central Council Members were present during the event.

ICAI is the first organization to enter into the Asia Book of Records under this category. Committee on Career Counselling of ICAI also released a Policy Document "ICAI - A Catalyst in Nurturing the Young Mind for a Bright Tomorrow".
