Concessions extended to persons with disability in CA examinations inter alia include extra/compensatory time, assistance of a writer, etc.,
For the purpose of providing writers to such candidates in CA examinations, ICAI initiated the exercise of building a panel of writers, in select cities, to begin with, by hosting announcements on its website/Students Journal/notice boards in regional offices, etc.,
Pursuant to these efforts, applications received from prospective writers, were screened and a city wise panel of writers, has since been prepared and is hosted. (Click here for the panel)
Persons with disability, who have been permitted assistance of a writer in CA examinations to be held in May 2014, can make use of the services of the writers on the panel.
In case, candidates are not able to make use of the services of the writers in the panel, for whatever reasons, they are permitted to engage the services of any other writer, who may not be on the ICAI panel, subject to their meeting the eligibility conditions pertaining to academic qualifications prescribed.
Honorarium for the writer at Rs. 500 (Rupees five hundred only) per paper/two sessions of Common Proficiency Test (CPT) whether he is drawn from the ICAI panel or otherwise, will be borne by the Institute.
Candidates are advised to go through the instructions in this regard, as contained in our announcement dated 17th February 2014 hosted in the students>examination section of www.icai.org for more details.
