The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) expanded its global footprints with the inauguration of the Adelaide Chapter in Australia. Adelaide Chapter is the 47th Overseas Chapter of ICAI and 4th Chapter in Australia, following Chapters in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane.
Adelaide chapter was inaugurated by CA. Aniket Talati, President, ICAI in presence of CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Vice President, ICAI, Ms Catherine Hutchesson MP, Member for Waite, South Australian Government and virtual presence of Shri Manpreet Vohra, Hon’ble High Commissioner of India to Australia. Also Present were Chairperson of all 4 chapters in Australia.
With the establishment of the Adelaide Chapter, ICAI's footprint expands to 81 cities across 47 countries, encompassing a network of 47 chapters, 34 representative offices worldwide, and a strong presence in India through 5 Regional Councils and 168 Branches. This expansion mirrors ICAI's resolute commitment to fostering a global community of accounting professionals.
During the event, Guest of Honor, Mr. Manpreet Vohra, Hon’ble High Commissioner of India to Australia, Canberra, Australia said, "Indian Chartered Accountants are globally respected, thanks to their expertise, rooted in India's strong traditions and expertise provided by ICAI. The institute has become the world's largest institutions with 47 global locations, including 4 in Australia. Beyond finance, ICAI fosters Indian-Australian business collaboration, strengthening ties, as seen in the successful ECTA partnership and this year's trade surge. As ICAI marks its 75th anniversary, we commend its global contributions and commitment to enhancing India-Australia business relations."
The Adelaide Chapter inauguration adds another feather to ICAI's cap, a remarkable achievement since its first overseas chapter was established in 1981 in Doha, Qatar.
During the launch event, Guest of Honor, Ms. Catherine Hutchesson MP, Member for Waite, South Australian Government congratulated ICAI for opening of new Chapter and said, “Opening of this Chapter will create opportunity for upcoming CAs and I wish Adelaide Chapter will continue to grow to provide first class services to Clients.”
On the occasion, CA. Aniket Sunil Talati, President, ICAI said, " In line with our vision to position the brand ‘CA India’ globally, ICAI opens its 47th global chapter. Further, during the inaugural session, CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Vice-President, ICAI said, "As we inaugurate ICAI's 47th chapter today, our journey is a testament to the growth of the Institute. ICAI overseas chapters provides a platform for Indian CAs abroad, for furtherance of their professional pursuits and knowledge and promoting affability amongst ICAI members. ICAI overseas Chapters facilitate in bringing foreign investment to India and also assisting Indian Industry by guiding them about the investment opportunities in different parts of the world thereby creating avenues for them to become Atamanirbhar. These Chapters and representative offices promote opportunities of networking for the members.
