The Committee on Promoting Work Life Balance is newly formed committee for the Council Year 2025-26 constituted with an objective to enhance the well-being of stakeholders of ICAI and augmenting professional excellence by promoting a healthy work-life balance and strengthening ICAI’s role as a globally recognized accountancy organization. The Terms of Reference of the Committee are follows:
- To inspire professionals to embrace personal well-being activities such as art, culture, literature, yoga, meditation etc into their daily lives for holistic growth and overall well-being.
- To organise a diverse range of programmes for Chartered Accountants either independently or in collaboration with other relevant committees, including webinars, workshops, campaigns, conferences, brainstorming and interactive sessions, outreach initiatives, mentorship and wellness programmes, masterclasses, chat shows, podcasts and other events, focusing on various aspects such as health, lifestyle, strategic thinking, stress management and emotional intelligence.
- To identify the challenges faced by the various stakeholders in the profession and means to address them.
- To develop digitalised and printed resources for disseminating information on contemporary and other relevant methods of imbibing healthy work-life balance in the lives of the Chartered Accountants.
- To collaborate with HR experts, industry specialists, legal professionals, counsellors, psychiatrists and others to identify strategies for enhancing mental health.
- To foresee the future needs and opportunities of society and equip members and students with the skills and knowledge to contribute to its development.
- To consider such other matters as the Council or the President may consider appropriate.
