  • To consider matters relating to formation of branches, setting up of Chapters abroad, MOUs/MRAs with national/international bodies, enhancement of TA/DA and lodging expenses payable to Council/Committee members and general policy matters and make recommendations to the Council.
  • To consider all matters pertaining to Regional Councils and Branches affairs excepting those functions which are assigned to Infrastructure Development Committee and/or to any other Committee.
  • To consider all matters relating to Members/ CA Firms/ LLPs/ mergers/ demergers/ networking and matters connected to, except those matters which are covered under the provisions of the Regulations.
  • To consider all matters pertaining to Students’ Association and make recommendations to the Council wherever required.
  • To consider recommendations of Audit Committee for appointment of central auditors of ICAI and recommend the same to the Council.
  • To consider recommendations of Audit Committee for appointment of auditors of various organs of ICAI.
  • To consider the accounts and annual report of the Institute and make appropriate recommendations to the Council thereon.
  • To consider matters relating to Post qualification courses and certificate courses of ICAI.
  • To consider all legal matters of the Institute and make recommendations to the Council wherever required.
  • To consider all matters/issues referred by the Central Government and other regulatory bodies and make recommendations to the Council wherever required.
  • To consider and make recommendations to the Council in the matter of amendments in Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, Rules made under the said Act and the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
  • To examine proposals received from other Committees/Departments of the Institute having administrative and policy implications and make recommendations to the Council wherever required.
  • To consider matters which do not fall within the purview of any other Committee and make recommendations to the Council wherever required.
  • To deal with such other matters as may be referred by the Council, the Executive Committee or the President from time to time.
